We are proud to announce that the ribbon has been cut, the scissors are put away, and the doors are officially open! Following a successful construction journey, the new Elizabethtown Community Hospital Rehabilitation Center is now welcoming patients.
This 13,000-square-foot standalone facility was a rewarding project that required a high level of coordination and precision. Built directly across the road from the hospital’s main campus, the new center was designed to consolidate outpatient physical and occupational therapy and speech-language pathology services into a modern, accessible hub.
The project involved a two-phased construction approach to deliver a high-performance, one-level steel and wood-framed building. To ensure the facility meets the long-term needs of the hospital, we managed everything from the initial demolition of an existing maintenance garage to the installation of a complex new stormwater management system, a dedicated sanitary sewer leach field, and infrastructure for future additions such as EV chargers, a back-up generator, and a planned maintenance building.
Inside, the finished product is a testament to quality craftsmanship and functional design. The facility features 11 private treatment rooms, an expansive gym, and a specialized cardiac rehabilitation area. Beyond the building footprint, we also delivered 47,000 square feet of new surface parking to ensure that up to 100 patients and staff members have easy, reliable access to the front doors.
It has been an honor to partner with Elizabethtown Community Hospital to bring this vision to life. Seeing these doors open to the public is the ultimate reward for our team’s hard work, and we are proud to have played a part in expanding healthcare access for the residents and visitors of the Adirondacks.
