Project Overview
This project included the fast-track construction of a new high-bay ship assembly building measuring 282 feet by 236 feet by 106 feet tall with four 112-foot-wide by 73-foot-high roll-up doors to accommodate large ship components. The building is supported by a pile foundation with cast-in-place pile caps and grade beams and a structural steel frame with a single-ply roof and insulated metal wall panels. Work also included the demolition of a 200-foot by 140-foot portion of an existing high-bay shipyard assembly building.
