Project Overview
This new 10-mgd advanced wastewater treatment plant was the first in Virginia to use membrane technology. In addition to the GE membrane technology, the project features two 50-foot-diamter, 82,000-cubic-foot Crom® Digesters with HDPE lining, screen and grit building, fine screen building and a biological reactor basin blower building.
Additional buildings include a carbon treatment, UV disinfection and a thickening and dewatering building. Four dewatering centrifuges rated at 1.1 dry tons per hour were installed as was a new emulsion polymer system with three progressive cavity feed pumps.
