Project Overview
Located in Portland’s East Bayside neighborhood, this project included the conversion and repurposing of an existing warehouse to house Coffee By Design’s roastery operations and new coffeehouse. The 26,000 square feet of renovated space includes a coffeehouse, tasting room, administrative offices and a roastery. The coffeehouse bar was crafted from salvaged 100-year-old barn boards and the facility included reclaimed cabinetry, efficient lighting fixtures, and zero VOC paint and carpeting.
Work included the installation and pre-commissioning of new equipment capable of roasting two million pounds of green coffee per year as well as mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
This project was completed by PC’s Special Projects Group.
