Project Overview
This $39.2 million improvements and modifications project at the 5.2-mgd Durbin Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant included construction of a new headworks facility, day tank pumping station, two circular clarifiers, recycle pumping/blower building, filter/UV structure, effluent structure, plant outfall, biosolids thickener with gravity belt thickeners, unthickened biosolids storage tank, and sodium hypo-chlorite and ferric chlorite facilities. A new generator facility provides standby power for the facility.\
Modifications to the existing facilities included conversion of one biobasin to a day tank and fine bubble diffusion aeration, the conversion of an existing second digester to a primary digester, and relocation of the existing lime feed system.
