Project Overview

This project included a 17,400-square-foot renovation to the existing Miller Bicentennial Hall and construction of a 4,600-square-foot addition to house a new library and learning center. Fourteen new classrooms were constructed with state-of-the-art technology suites including Smart™ Boards, high-definition projectors, audio-recording and video-conferencing capabilities. Additional spaces include tutorial rooms with Harkness™-style tables and modular workstations, a multimedia seminar room, a technology lab and departmental offices.

A new high-quality thermal envelope was applied to the building, reducing energy consumption by 75%-85% and greenhouse gas emissions by more than 200,000 pounds. Classroom also contain lighting systems that harvest natural light and automatically dim to adjust to available daylight.
