Lonoke White WTP and Intake Structure

This new $18 million, 10-mgd water treatment plant with expandable capacity to 30 mgd included four, 42-inch intake lines and pumps, and the excavation of a large underwater trench to feed the intake pumps.

PC’s workforce completed 60% of the contract value which included installing over 1,000 linear feet of 42-inch water main line. The underwater trench required a 10-foot-deep by 450-foot long Portadam™ temporary cofferdam to perform rock blasting and rock excavation.

Additional components of the project included flocculation basins, plate settler sedimentation basins, filters and a clearwell, all housed under one structure, and two large backwash ponds.
