Project Overview
The LUMBERYARD Center for Film and Performing Arts campus transformed a former lumberyard into a world-class performance and residence space, providing artists with technical support and residency before a national or New York premiere.
This $5.6 million project included 19,000 square feet of renovations to the main building to house a column-free 5,500-square-foot flexible-layout theatre, a 5,000-square-foot studio, offices, housing for up to 25 visiting artists and support spaces. The existing roof was also raised 20 feet from its original height to allow performers to rehearse in spaces identical in size to the international stages.
