Monmouth Memorial School
Bringing pre-K-8 students together in one state-of-the-art facility.
This new facility for Maine’s Regional School Unit 2 consolidated the 1856 middle school and the existing elementary school into one, state-of-the-art educational facility. The 70,000-square-foot, two-story school was designed to accommodate extensive safety controls while incorporating amenities to support the district’s learning objectives.
The new school features three wings with classrooms, a cafeteria, gymnasium, library, and dedicated STEM space. The main entrance provides monitoring capabilities and a security/key card system. Each wing includes radiant heating and high-efficiency boilers to save 75% in maintenance costs and 40% to 50% in fuel costs.
