Project Overview

This three-story, 94,000-square-foot expansion to Mylan Technology’s existing manufacturing campus required the installation of an extensive concrete caisson foundation system to support the new building on unsuitable soils.

The interior expansion space included 14 air-handlers ranging in size from 6,000 to 43,000 CFM, explosion-proof rooms, state-of-the-art building management and EMS controls systems, sophisticated floor coatings and anti-static systems, and elaborate security systems required for FDA-regulated drug manufacturers’ compliance.

Work included temporary building containment systems for installation of elevated concrete floor systems in sub-zero weather and installation of the exterior building envelope systems that were not accessible by conventional means.
