Project Overview
PC completely upgraded four existing dissolved air flotation thickening (DAFT) systems, installed a new polymer system and new scum collection systems on the primary and secondary clarifiers. This $18.4 million project is the second contract of Fairfax Country’s comprehensive solids handling improvement program at the 67-mgd NMPCPC.
PC proposed a creative construction sequencing approach that shortened the schedule by 85 days.
