Port Royal Island WRF

This fast-track project, located on a greenfield site, delivered a new 4.5-mgd wastewater treatment plant, expandable to 7.2 mgd. Construction included preliminary and secondary treatment structures, headworks, aeration basins, a clarifier splitter box, secondary clarifiers, an effluent structure, an RAS control structure and a RAS/WAS pump station. The project also included the installation of a UV disinfection system, construction of a sludge dewatering building with belt filter presses and a new administration and controls building.
