Project Overview
Completed by PC’s Special Projects group, this new two-billion BTU digester facility uses organic waste streams generated by the Magic Hat Brewing Company facility. The project included the installation of a flow equalization system, a mechanical building to house process equipment and piping, and installation of a cogeneration system and patented anaerobic digester designed for brewery waste.
The digester uses remnants of the brewing process to generate biogas that powers the brewery’s boiler and/or cogeneration system. The system enables extra biogas to produce electricity via a 300 kW reciprocating engine generator.
