Project Overview
This $93.3 million project, a portion of the overall water supply program, provides a stable, reliable source of drinking water and eliminates the County’s dependence on outside water sources. All facilities are provisioned for future expansion and will fulfill the County’s water supply needs through 2060.
Construction included a reservoir pump station with three 9-mgd, 400 HP vertical turbine pumps; the Etowah River pump station with four 16-mgd 1500 HP vertical turbine pumps; the finished water pump station with four 8.2-mgd, 800 HP vertical turbine pumps; 4,000 linear feet of pipeline; and an 18-mgd water treatment plant with rapid mixing and flocculation, dissolved air flotation, sand filtrations and granular activated carbon filter.

Our Clients
PC is one of the best firms we have ever worked with in our history. Their involvement during the final stages of the design phase resulted in significant cost savings to our project. They also assisted in making the design a better product and made the construction process so much easier because solutions were developed before they could become problems in the field.
