Project Overview
Originally constructed in the 1960s, this is the first major renovation and expansion of the 67,000-square-foot iconic base lodge including an expanded Grizzly’s restaurant and new interior finishes throughout. The addition of a second floor to the east and west wings brings 5,000 square feet of dining areas, increasing capacity by 400 seats. The complete demolition and replacement of food service areas provides larger, state-of-the-art kitchens, modern food storage systems and advanced prep technology.
To marry new materials and traditional architecture, the addition features exposed heavy timber and wood framing braced from a new steel structure. Extensive upgrades to mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems were also completed.
