Project Overview
The $20.8 million expansion and renovation project included construction of a five-story, 95,000-square-foot addition to the independent senior living facility to house 58 new residential units and an underground 35-space parking garage. Approximately 7,500 square feet of the existing facility was also renovated to create new community space, including a bistro, pub, store, beauty salon, wellness center, media room and auditorium.
Work included demolition of two residential structures and a former retail store, and construction of a connector between the new and existing buildings. A surface level parking lot provides an additional 65 parking spaces for residents and visitors.
Construction of the project occurred on a tight site between two of Portland’s busiest roadways.
