Project Overview
This latest development at the Spruce Peak Resort included the construction of a contemporary alpine residential complex inspired by the wooded slopes of Vermont’s Green Mountains. The 126,000-square foot, four-story Treehouse at Spruce Peak features 48 luxury residential units ranging from two bedrooms to tiered loft-style accommodations, with underground parking for 50 vehicles. The 100% electric building maximizes natural lighting through the large bay windows and consists of panelized wood framing and Douglas Fir glulam mass timber over a steel and concrete podium.
Incorporated into the project is also a new 65,000-square-foot free-standing parking facility accommodating 239 vehicles to support the resort’s growing amenities.
PC worked closely with the owner to develop, plan and communicate construction activities, establishing traffic flow patterns that minimized disruption for guests and staff on the tight project site. In addition, Lean construction methods, such as Takt planning, were incorporated to help meet an aggressive turnover schedule.
