University of New Hampshire Whittemore Center Arena Ice Floor

Renovations to Whittemore Center, the home of UNH Wildcats Hockey focused on the ice surface and mechanical system, which had reached its maximum life expectancy, improved student-athlete safety, and a reducing the Olympic-sized rink to align with collegiate and professional rinks around the country.

Work included the replacement of the ice floor assembly, including all associated refrigeration and heating systems, incorporation of an NHL-type flex board system that provides give upon impact; and compression of the rink playing surface by 10 feet.
