Project Overview
This multi-sequence project included significant renovations and additions to the University’s athletic facilities. Work included renovations to Gutterson Fieldhouse, home of UVM hockey, to preserve and enhance the existing facility, as well as extensive renovations and additions to the University’s recreation and wellness facilities. Enhancements include a varsity strength and conditioning facility a group fitness center, multipurpose activity courts with retractable basketball hoops, volleyball nets and a bouldering wall, a sports medicine facility, locker room spaces, office suites, and public restrooms.
Early work included extensive site and utility work, deep foundations and support of excavation for future expansion. New electrical and mechanical infrastructure was installed in occupied facilities, requiring extensive coordination.
