Project Overview
The historic Waterhead Mill building, originally built in 1910, was renovated to house 71 luxury apartments with extensive amenities. The 78,000-square-foot building includes studio and one-bedroom apartment units, bike storage, a theater/media room, an onsite management office, dog grooming facilities and community co-working space.
Significant structural modifications were required to convert heavy timber-and-brick open industrial space into individual apartments. The new construction is blended with original features to provide exposed brick walls and wood ceilings, large mill-style windows and high ceilings.
Coordination with the owner’s historic consultant throughout the life of the project ensured Historic Tax Credits were earned.
