Today I joined my fellow PC Construction employee owners at ENR’s Mid-Atlantic awards celebration in Baltimore, where we proudly accepted three honors including Mid-Atlantic Contractor of the Year. We are honored to receive this award just four years after earning the same recognition from ENR Southeast.
This recognition is a reflection of the people on our team, the clients who trust us, and the communities where we build. From the $269 million Piscataway Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) Bioenergy Project to the $256 million Arlington Re-Gen Biosolids Upgrade – these projects are more than milestones. They’re proof of what’s possible when partnership and purpose come first.
If we weren’t already proud enough, we and our partners at Stantec and Hazen also took home the Award of Merit in the Water/Environment category and the Excellence in Sustainability Award, both for the Piscataway WRRF Bioenergy Project. This facility is the largest and most technically advanced project WSSC Water has built in its 106-year history and is one of only seven in the country to incorporate an advanced Thermal Hydrolysis Process to efficiently transform biosolids.
We left Baltimore today with our hearts and hands full. So much hard work goes into building groundbreaking projects that push the limits of what’s possible today to set the standard for tomorrow. This recognition belongs to our entire Mid-Atlantic team who put everything they’ve got into every project we build. PC truly has the best people in the industry, and their expertise amazes me every day.
Thank you to ENR for recognizing the incredible work this industry produces. To our owners, for your unwavering trust in PC. To our engineering partners, for your steadfast collaboration. To our trade partners, for your commitment to excellence. And to our crew: you make PC go around.
