Housing and Retail BuildingPC Construction was one of only five contractors statewide to be honored with a 2018 Build Maine Award from the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Maine. The award in the Building Division category recognized PC’s exemplary efforts in constructing The Hiawatha Building at 667 Congress Street in downtown Portland, Maine.

The eight-story, 142,000-square-foot multi-use Hiawatha Building features 139 apartments, ground-floor retail space and sub-grade and ground-level parking. Working for project owner Redfern Properties LLC, PC served as construction manager on the $22.5 million project in concert with Ryan Senatore Architecture; Acorn Engineering; and Structural Integrity, among numerous other subcontractors and vendors.

Regarding the Hiawatha project, Redfern Properties Principal Jonathan Culley wrote: “… we have worked with a handful of excellent Construction Managers, but our experience with PC has been by far the best.”
