Groundbreaking Ceremony Starts Construction at Northwestern Medical Center

NMCBYou couldn’t ask for a better night to break ground on a new construction project! With yesterday’s sunny skies and temps in the upper 70s, Northwestern Medical Center, MorrisSwitzer Environments for Health and PC Construction celebrated the start of construction on a major expansion and renovation project in St. Albans, Vermont. Over the next 18 months, the landscape of this medical center will change drastically with the construction of a 14,000-square-foot, 20 room medical/surgical addition; a 14,000-square-foot medical clinic building; and a two-story, 42,000-square-foot medical office building with connector corridor. Work will also include the renovation of a 13,000-square-foot, 14-room inpatient space; a 6,000-square-foot lobby; and a loading dock in addition to site improvements.

It has been a great pleasure working with Northwestern Medical Center throughout the preconstruction process and I look forward to constructing and delivering this crucial project for patients and staff of the hospital.
