Hard Hats with Heart

Nearly 30 members of PC Construction’s Portland, Maine team – including family and friends – laced up their sneakers and made the five-kilometer trek around the city’s Back Cove to benefit heart health and education last Sunday. The 2017 Southern Maine Heart Walk was marked by an abundance of beautiful spring weather and good cheer as more than 2,500 participants either walked or ran the 5k loop.

All told, our eleven-member team raised $5,890 for the cause, ranking the PC Construction Heart Walkers #5 out of 165 teams and #8 among the 80 companies that participated. What’s more, three of our team members placed in the Top 20 out of the 1,224 individual fund raisers. This was PC’s third year of involvement in the program.

“With heart disease touching all of us in some way, the Southern Maine Heart Walk has become an annual tradition for PC,” said Team Captain Dan Noblet. “It’s a fun and simple way to support the local Heart Association and all the good work they do.”
