In 2019, Project Engineer Jon Thomas (JT) became the first individual in Vermont to earn the AGC Certificate of Management-Lean Construction (CM-Lean). Since then, he has continued to hone his Lean knowledge and has successfully completed his continuing education credits to maintain this designation. Throughout this journey, JT has demonstrated his extensive knowledge and understanding of concepts related to Lean adoption, practice and process transformation.
JT is currently a member of PC’s project management team supporting the construction efforts on the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center Emergency Department Modernization project in Bennington, Vermont. Throughout his nine years with the company, Jon has helped advance PC’s Lean objectives and serves as a Lean ambassador for our project teams. He shares his extensive knowledge and ensures our teams have the tools, resources and support they need to successfully incorporate Lean into construction activities.
“JT is a true Lean leader,” said Chris Moran, PC’s Manager of Lean Construction. “He embraced Lean early in his career, took that passion into his role as a Lean Specialist, and is now back in the field fostering a Lean culture every day. We are lucky to have him on our team.”
