This summer, I have been able to hone my safety skills as an intern on a $215 million design-build treatment plant project in Washington, DC. The team on this site has given me incredible responsibility and allowed me to take initiative while learning the hands-on practices of construction safety. Each day I walk the site, observe the work, correct hazards and work with the foremen and their crews to ensure the work is completed in the safest way. I have learned more than I ever expected while at PC and I feel more confident going back to school and continuing my career as a safety professional.
