A team of PC employee-employees recently joined six other teams from employee-owned companies to participate in the Pull Against Poverty event, which supports the efforts of the Good Food Truck and their mission to serve thousands of free nutritious meals to children with limited access to healthy food. Leading up to the event the PC team raised over $1,200 for the effort and was one of the leading fundraisers.
When the day of the event arrived, a warm sun and cheering family and friends provided a great atmosphere for a friendly tug-of-war competition. While the PC team didn’t emerge a winner, we did make it to the final match and had a blast participating in this community event, all while raising funds for this important cause.
Pull-Against-Poverty is championed by Switchback and lead by the Employee Owners of Vermont, a group comprised of employee-owned companies in Vermont. As a member of this amazing group, we enjoy coming together to give back and support our community. This event is just one example of our work throughout the year – and we are already looking forward to a re-match next year!
